SAN DIEGO, Calif. (February 20, 2020) – Boostlingo is very excited to announce that they will be attending the California Healthcare Interpreting Association’s (CHIA) 20th Annual Educational Conference on March 6-7.
The conference will be held at the Crowne Plaza San Diego – Mission Valley, 2270 Hotel Cir N, San Diego, CA 92108, and will begin at 9:00 a.m. on Friday, March 6 and will end at 5:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 7. This year’s conference, CHIA: “Hindsight in 2020: CHIA’s Vision for Language Access” will consist of 37 educational sessions including:
- Five 2-hour workshops
- Thirty 1-hour breakouts
- Poster presentations
- Keynote panel
This year, CHIA is adding something new to the conference. They will offer 2-full days of medicolegal presentations. Additionally, CHIA will be hosting their Networking Reception, Dance Party, CHIA Awards and Closing Ceremony Raffle for all attendees. This year’s conference will also feature an exciting lineup of presenters from across the country including Carola Green, CHIA’s first Vice President, Beverly Treumann, CHIA Past President, and Katharine Allen, CHIA Past President to name a few.
CHIA is a group of healthcare interpreters, educators, and providers working together to overcome language and cultural barriers to high-quality care. CHIA is a non-profit organization founded in 1996. Their mission is to better serve the public interest of Limited English Proficient patients by training interpreters and supporting their goals to advancing their careers through training and continuing education. Like the conference, “Hindsight in 2020: CHIA’s Vision for Language Access”, CHIA hosts many programs and conferences all around the world, where they bring in medical professionals and interpreter technology companies to educate interpreters to better serve LEP patients.
