Austin, Texas – May 22, 2025 – Boostlingo today introduced Interpreter Availability, a new feature within its Interpreter Management System (IMS) that replaces spreadsheets and third-party calendars with a live, shareable schedule. The upgrade gives language service companies and in-house teams a clear view of when interpreters are free, busy, or on-site.
Inside the IMS portal, each interpreter now sees an Availability tab with a calendar. They can set their normal weekly hours, note single-day changes, and tag slots as Remote, On-Site, Both, or Unavailable. A simple notes field lets them add details such as “Building 1 all day,” so schedulers understand exact location and context.
Administrators and language-service staff view the same data in real time. They can filter by status, modality, or location, adjust shifts, and create events without leaving IMS. As soon as a change is saved, it appears in the Appointment Viewer, so schedulers know who is actually free before sending an invitation.
The result is fewer missed jobs, less inbox noise for interpreters, and faster client fill rates. “Our customers told us guessing availability was a big pain,” said Brian D’Agostino, VP of Product at Boostlingo. “Interpreter Availability gives them certainty in seconds, with no extra tools or hidden steps.”
Every change to an interpreter’s calendar is time-stamped, providing a full audit trail to support paid-time-off policies and compliance rules. Interpreter Availability is included in today’s IMS release and is rolling out to all customers at no additional cost, with bulk multi-interpreter updates scheduled for a later phase.
