At Boostlingo, building trusted and secure products for our customers is a top priority. That’s why we’re thrilled to announce a significant milestone in achieving SOC 2, Type I Compliance!

You might be asking yourself: What is SOC 2? And what does it mean for me?

What is SOC 2?

SOC 2 is a compliance standard developed by the American Institue of CPAs (AICPA) designed to assess the effectiveness of an organization’s controls over customer data. In line with our commitment to security and privacy, Boostlingo is navigating the two key phases of SOC 2 compliance:

  • SOC 2 Type I evaluates an organization’s design and implementation of security processes.
  • SOC 2 Type II assesses how effective those controls are over time.

Today, we are delighted to share that Boostlingo has successfully obtained its SOC 2, Type I compliance, meaning the policies and procedures to keep your information safe have been audited and validated by an independent auditor.

What does SOC 2 Type I mean for you?

Our SOC 2, Type I report reflects our dedication to maintaining the highest level of security for your data. You can have confidence that your information is being handled with the utmost care, and our internal controls align with industry best practices.

Here are some example security policies that we have in place:

  • Access Control Policy
  • Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery Policy
  • Change Management Policy

What’s next?

Type I is just the start.

Noelle Lattimore, VP of Legal and Compliance at Boostlingo, let us in on her compliance roadmap, “This achievement is just the beginning. As we move forward, we will continue prioritizing the highest data security and operational integrity standards. We are preparing a Trust Center to house public-facing documents to demonstrate our commitment to best-in-class industry security and privacy standards. We are also preparing for the SOC 2, Type II examination, deepening the company’s reputation as a trusted advisor in the language access space. Our journey towards ISO27001 certifications is also already underway.”

These initiatives and certifications will reinforce our ongoing commitment to and investment in providing you with the highest level of information security when using Boostlingo.
